what warwick looks like
when does the green become different from the next green?
will the shorn grass blades smell differently in the thickened balmy air?
will the stones that make up the foundations of the faith be any less stable and steady?
the wide open spaces feel the same in their distance, the expanses pushing themselves out and out and out [...]

a few truths
I could have been one of those people on the sidewalk, but I still haven’t bought a pair of sinched-legs camo pants. every time i watch project runway, i see the parsons logo and think of the courtyard katie and i visited where everyone was smoking. so much more glamorous than emerson smokers gathering in [...]

the stevedore
I am no stevedore.
The cargo is mine, but I don’t have the strength.
The water is wide and large ships are built to carry.
I cannot man a crane or load or empty.
I have not prepared for such weight.
There is too much water in me to load the water in the world.
I should be able to bear [...]

a flimsy curl of flying paper
there is much empty space below,
darkness creeping in on the towns like bright fabric tears.
if i drink enough gingerale,
its bite will slide sparkling gold down my hot cheeks when i shed tears.
the roaring silence of flying is punctuated
by a traveling couple, their chatter cutting tears.
if anyone should look up tonight, they’d see
a flashing redandwhite and [...]

Pseudo 3D using 2D Sprites
3D graphics are a major challenge, especially when you’re working on something by yourself. I’ve put together some working code of a pseudo 3D scene using only 2D sprites. The secret is using a transformation function which can translate the sprites 3D coordinates into a 2D location.
The basic principle behind this idea is [...]

Site Changes
I’m going to be working on the site over the next bunch of days in order to try and bring it up to snuff. Some of the things I’m working on include:
Creating a new theme
Personally, I really don’t care much for the current theme, at least not anymore. When I first put it [...]

heaviness
In stasis the weight
comes from the length of the wait.
Eyes close in the darkness,
and open to find they’ve adjusted to the black weight.
Raucous rage of voice flows
from the silence of the wait.
Time pushes and there is an edge for falling,
an abyss to swallow the weight.
A heaviness presses, but does not crush
(yet), so we wait.
Anticipation is [...]

stasisestina
it’s hard to stop a train
but mine’s waiting in the middle of a wheat field.
the flowers grow around the wheels, traces
tethering the ox to the cart so the beasts don’t run away.
the sleepers lay straight and sure but the cars don’t move.
the cars don’t move and neither do i.
clear blue passes over me like eyes,
(yours [...]
