Finally Setup

After significant battling with my Compaq server, I’ve finally got it up and operational. Took a lot of rebooting/checking/reinstalling/etc, but the only thing that seems to work is good old SuSE 9.0 Professional. Yes, it’s about 5 years old, but hey, if it works, then there’s nothing to worry about.

>:O

people’s expectations are going to be the death of them. not because they’re going to experience stress heart attacks or over eat themselves to death because that’s the only thing they control or the opposite, but because i will kill them.
people expect to fuck around, fall out of touch with their former friends, act like [...]

impermanence

slowly, everything winds away from us.
the watch needs to be rewound.
time won’t keep itself.
one year i wandered filthy streets,
emptying my loneliness out into self-discovery
and listening to music only i could hear.
one year i drive and complain of blisters.
i see my professors as frauds
when they were once intelligent.
a few weeks pass and then the leaves
begin to [...]

I’m in an Airport

So I’m in the airport right now. It’s really crazy the security that’s going on. While I wasn’t harassed too much, they took away my Amp. A full, unopened can of Amp, surrendered to the airport security staff, who will go into the break room and laugh at my the way my [...]

Gotta Love Marketing

I’m watching the Patriots/Chargers game right now, and just after Tom Brady marched right back down the field for another touchdown, a Nike commercial aired.
It opened with the Charger’s linebacker, Shawn Merriman, running around the Patriots’ offensive line and sacking Brady.
FYI Nike, no one on the Chargers has even come close to Brady yet.

a little something i wrote in literary analysis

I’m going crazy. We’re talking about line scansion. I learned this stuff when I took creative writing in HIGH SCHOOL.
Her voice is annoyingly young. If it could be seen, it would be something like a golden retriever puppy. “Is this something you would use as your quote on MySpace?” (about “The [...]

One Week Down

Well, I’ve survived my first week back at RIT. I think I’ll do alright in my classes and I’ve got a job locked down to give me a steady flow of cash. The workload seems to be manageable, I just need to bite the bullet and do it though, which I’m not very [...]

Finally Settled In

I’ve just finished putting all of my stuff where it needs to go, and I’m quite pleased with the way things turned out. It almost feels like there’s more room than last year, but I think it’s just because there is more closet/storage space, and we’ve manuevered the beds into a much more efficient [...]

in the time since

2 days since i last saw andrew.
good bye was harder than last year.
i attribute that to sex and time.
on the way home from his house, i almost hit a tree.
don’t tell him i told you.
it was only because my nose was running and i didn’t have any tissues.
yesterday i woke up and sat on my [...]
